Pneumopericardium is a rare but life-threatening complication. There have been few studies on post-traumatic pneumopericardium but no case of pneumopericardium developing because of facial trauma has been mentioned in the literature to the best of my knowledge. This article sheds some light on pneumopericardium in conjunction with facial fractures and its management with careful monitoring of the stable or even asymptomatic patient with regular ECG and 2D Echo. We hereby report a case of a 22-year-old male, victim of road traffic injury with pan facial fractures and blunt trauma to the chest and abdomen developing pneumopericardium.
