Artocarpus heterophyllus commonly called jack fruit plant belonging to the (Family: Moraceae). Seeds of this plant were collected, washed, dried and made into powder. The dried powder was extracted with an organic solvent methanol. Crude extract was obtained and tested for four different anti-inflammatory assay such as HRB membrane stabilization test, nitric oxide scavenging assay, protein denaturation assay (inhibition of albumin denaturation) and proteinase inhibition test. The result showed as per their respective IC 50 values such as 600 μg/ml, 800 μg/ml, 1000 μg/ml and 600 μg/ml respectively. Aspirin, ascorbic acid, diclophenac sodium were taken as standard drugs and showed potential anti-inflammatory activity. The result of crude methanolic seed extract of A. heterophyllus demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory activity.
