Abstract

Foliar fertilization permits supplementation of nutrients through their greatest request by agricultural crops, so a field experiment was conducted in the summer season of 2018 to determine the effect of urea fertilizer (control and 100 kg ha-1), the number of foliar fertilizer spraying (0, 1, 2 and 3 times) with neutral fertilizer (20-20-20 NPK) and seaweed extract levels (0, 1000, 2000 mg L-1) on growth and yield of mung bean. A third factorial experiment under randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was used. Local variety seeds were cultivated on 15/8/2018 in ridges 80 cm (planted on both sides) at 15 cm between hills. The results showed that adding urea gave high plant pods number, pod seeds number, and seeds yield (27.5, 7.2 and 1395 kg. ha-1) significantly compared to control. Spraying foliar fertilizer number gave high plant pods number, pod seeds number and seeds yield compared to control and spraying three times was superior by giving (28.6, 7.2 and 1454 kg ha-1). Spraying seaweed extract caused significant increases in plant pods number, pod seeds number and total seed yield compared to control without differences between the level of 1000 and 2000 mg L-1. The combination of adding urea and foliar fertilizer 2 or 3 times was superior in total seed yield (1503 and 1513.8 kg ha-1). The combination of three times foliar fertilizer and spraying seaweed extract at 1000 or 2000 mg L-1 gave the highest total seed yield (1529 and 1546.5 kg ha- 1). The combination of adding urea and spraying seaweed extract at 2000 mg L-1 gave the highest total seed yield (1464 kg ha-1).
